Mechanical Services was conceived of by Kalthoff, a locally owned mechanical contractor specializing in commercial and industrial HVACR projects. Nearly 30 years ago, Kalthoff’s management recognized the need for a more flexible and responsive service department to better meet the requirements of their growing base of commercial installation customers. In order to fill that need, Mechanical Services (MS) was incorporated in July of 1974.

As an independent company, Mechanical Services had the flexibility of hiring and training employees to meet the more stringent and demanding technical and timing requirements of HVACR service. With our highly trained and professional team, MS can respond to service calls faster, more efficiently, and achieve better customer satisfaction, which is our number one goal.

Since 1974 Mechanical Services has been recognized as one of the premier HVACR service organizations in the East Tennessee area. Because of our dedication to exceeding customers’ expectation, our business has grown to support a fleet of over 10 service vehicles and we have expanded our expertise from just HVACR to include DDC controls and energy management systems.
